| E.V. Miroshnik | THE ROLE OF PATIENT’S CONSCIOUSNESS FOR TREATMENT SUCCESS |
| ICS «Resurse», Moscow, Russia |
Researchers of the last decades have accumulated a great deal of evidences that medical-biological sciences are facing a conceptual crisis. We badly take care of our health, when we still have it, and still believe that doctors, psychologists, healers should restore it when something is wrong. The state system of health suffers a crisis not only because the state does not enough money for its proper maintenance, for therapies for all who need it. One of the most serious problems of the system is its orientation on the disease or its nosologic character: it is aimed at treatment of patients, but not on saving health of the healthy. We (doctors and patients) cherish illness in the consciousness and subconsciousness starting with the first contact, on the energoinformational level, and later with material interaction by registration in a polyclinic with an ambulatory card or a patient chart. The stereotype illness-diagnosis becomes just a record unit. It is filled with information, theories of pathogenesis, analyses, formulations, extracts. And parallel to this in the patient a dominant excitation focus in cerebral cortex is formed.
Mass-media offers constantly more and more sophisticated medications. Due to this in the patients there is a strong fear to lose his health, ability to work, his vital success. Eventually the patient turns into a passive consumer of medical services, shifting responsibility and anxiety about the health on the shoulders of the present system of health protection.
The model of conscious medicine is offered, where the ultimate goal of therapy is not only removal of pathological symptoms but also complete renewal of patient’s wellbeing on 3 levels: social, psychological and somatic.
In this connection one of the aspects of new paradigm positions a doctor as a tutor, confessor, explorer, healer, psychologist, specialist by integral estimation and renewal of health on different levels (somatic, socially-psychological, energoinformational, spiritually-moral), with modern ( including esoteric) knowledge and skills.
According to its changes and the role of patient as a person assuming complete responsibility for the fate, illnesses arising in one or another period of his life as a result of erroneous world view, pathogenic thoughts and effluent from this way of life. That means that between a patient and a doctor-healer there are new relations of equality and collaboration, sympathy and trust.
One of important components of quality of life of patients with the different forms of somatic pathology is psychological satisfaction with himself and with his the own position in the world or subjective prosperity of personality.
Motivation of appeal for help for the patient has a lot of aspects: a patient, as a rule, not only wishes to be relieved from suffering and pain but also seeks from his doctor recommendations on adequate living or happy living.
The psychologically affected patient is traditionally aimed at leveling the anxious-depressive syndrome as most frequent in general somatic practice. Treatment of depression is mainly carried out from positions of cognitive therapy aimed at correction of irrational judgments or these errors and logical errors which distort value of one or another event evoking a tragic sense.
General tasks are implemented consistently:
setting up an emotional contact with the patient
careful collection of anamnesis
decreasing of anxiety level, defining the target for treatment and criteria of its success
estimating the role and actual place of social, psychological and biological factors in development of the disease and a choice of therapy
5. acquaintance with patient’s conception of the disease
Selection of adequate psychotherapy and corporal methods of therapy directed on a somatic link
Replacing the therapeutic aspect with ideas of independence and activity of patient
8. Supporting therapy, rehabilitation measures
Conclusions: The attempt of an «active treatment» without careful study of social-psychological reasons of origin of illness and accurate imprinting them into the consciousness of the patient is not only doomed to a failure since it violates from the spiritual point of view the Divine laws, as it causes blocking of a spiritual development of man.
