There are actual ecological problems in the Ural region: controlling and researching of rivers radioactive pollution, estimating dam reliability of water ponds with radioactive wastes.

We have developed electromagnetic method for estimating pollution of underground water and researching their distribution in geological medium. The method was applied for some areas of Ural.

Two new geoelectric techniques (inductive and conductive) were used for dams controlling. We investigated seven dams with common length about 50 km and done monitoring during ten years. There were found low electroresistivity zones which are filtering zones i.e. defect of dams. Seismic investigations using original portable multi channels seismograph were carried out as well as GPS-monitoring. All dams were reconstructed and consolidated due to our investigations.
