ECOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF ENRICHMENT CHARGE FOR COKING
Institute for Physical Organic and Coal Chemistry, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Donetsk, Ukraine

Breed waste dumps and sludge tanks, which are observed at all enrichment and by-product-coking plants, dramatically affect the ecological situation in Donbass region regarding enrichment of coal and charge for coking. Sludge tanks located at by-product-coking plants comprise more than 50 mln. tons of waste, which contains 50-70% of combustible material. As a rule, the composition of the waste sludge tanks coincides to the general composition of charge used at the given plant. This property enables to obtain some additional amount of charge for coking due to enrichment. The researches have shown that addition of about 10% of the waste to feeding flotation practically does not influence the efficiency of flotation and the quality of charge. The results of the laboratory studies are confirmed by a five-year working experience of Avdeevsky factory at the by-product-coking plant. During this period additional 100 thousand tons charge for coking were produced from the waste.

A problem for processing sludge tanks waste arises because there is not an overfueling factory at every coal enterprise. Transportation of the waste to the processing plants requires additional costs that significantly reduce profitability of the sludge conversion. Other technologies of the silt conversion are not efficient due to a loss of the large proportions of coal, which is contained in the sludge waste. To solve a problem can development portable mobile flotation installation, press for dehydration departure of over-rich and way to use the mineral part a departure.
