DISTRIBUTION OF COPPER IN RATS’ ORGANS UNDER ITS INTERVENTION PER OS AND AGAINST A BACKGROUND CORRECTION WITH DRUG BURNET |
| E.A. Buketov Karaganda State University, Karaganda, Kazakhstan Institute of physiology of human and animals CBR MES RK, Almaty, Kazakhstan |
Objective: to study the influence of bioflavonoid drug Burnet given per os. on the distribution of penta oxide copper in rats’ organs,
Materials and methods: 60 white outbred rats-males with the weight 200-250 gr, were used in the experiments. They were divided into 3 groups: the first (n=20) – control group, the second (n=20) – they took СuSO4 LD 50 once per os – 12 mg/kg, the third group (n=20) – they took CuSO4 (100 mg/kg) and the drug Burnet 10mg/kg [1]. Copper concentration in tissue was determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometer.
Results: The largest quantity of copper was found in bowels, kidneys, liver in the animals of the second group. There was much lesser amount in heart, brain and lungs. When animals of the third group took burnet, the largest quantity of copper was revealed in bowels, kidneys and liver; its quantity was less in liver than in the second group but even more in kidneys. Less copper was found in the heart, brain and in lungs; it was less than in animals with in-take of sublethal dose CuSO4.
Discussion and conclusion: In that way the quantity of copper in animals’ organs of the first, second and the third groups changes too much. The largest quantity of copper’s sublethal dose is allocated in bowels, kidneys, liver and less in heart, brain and lungs. When experimental animals took burnet drug the copper content in liver, lungs and heart is decreased but it increased in brain and kidneys
